Pashli is the overseas Humanitarian Aid Department of The Hope Centre.
Pashli is the Russian word for ‘Let’s Go’.
We have been involved in humanitarian aid work in Belarus since 2004.
Teams of volunteers travel out to Belarus on a regular basis to 'Make A Difference'
Make a Difference? For whom? To what?
We want to make a difference to the economically deprived people of Belarus, who live in extreme poverty, despite the fact that their country is on the doorstep of the European Union. We want to make a difference by improving the living conditions and social opportunities of the orphan children and the neglected elderly in Belarus.
We want to make a difference to the conditions in which they live, the social/educational opportunities that are available to them in their everyday lives, and to afford them the chance to share some of the JOY that is part of what brings contentment to each one of us and that we can reasonably expect to be part of our life-experience.
We want to connect and partner with people of similar motivation who wish to share in these endeavours by getting involved in the physical reconstruction work we do in orphanages and elderly people's homes, and also in hosting orphans on holidays in Ireland, in putting on activity holidays for children in the Vilejka Orphanage at Christmas time each year, in providing food, clothes and gifts at special times such as Christmas for the elderly, and more...
